“I started working with Kristen in June of this year, after some medical issues left me feeling unable to shed weight. The weight was not coming off and with many gyms closed due to the COVID pandemic, my workout routines were feeling stale and ineffective. Unfortunately, I don't live super close to Kristen but we were able to come up with a very flexible plan that has worked perfectly for me. Once a month, I travel to see Kristen in person and during these workout sessions she checks my form and shows me how to do new exercises. Then she sends me five workouts that I do on my own every week. I repeat those five workouts for four weeks and then return to the gym for another check in, and five new plans! Kristen has been amazing about checking in with me every week to help me stay on track and is very responsive when I have a question. The timing has been great, giving me a few weeks to get comfortable with the workouts and then switching them up so my body does not get too comfortable and plateau. I wish I could see Kristen in-person more but with the distance and my busy schedule this plan has been perfect for keeping me on track with both the flexibility and accountability I need.”

“I met Kristen at the gym that I worked as a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and the Director of Fitness. Professionally, I have always admired and respected her commitment to her workouts, the dedication she has with her exercise programming, and how approachable she is even when she was clearly on a mission to complete her workout! She explicitly explained why she chose the exercise, the correct way to perform it, and how it would benefit my body and our established goals. Kristen also bridged the gap between the coach, a friend, and a girl-pal professionally and with grace: she intrinsically knew when I needed to get down to business, to push hard, take it slow, to laugh and talk between sets, and to challenge myself just the right amount on the days when my body needed extra attention. 

 

Kristen's smile, joy for helping people get their body and life back, and her an innate kindness filled my soul up during a time when I felt incredibly depleted and weighed down by my own self-doubt. Through each workout, rep, and push Kristen inspired me to put myself first and fall back in love with lifting weights and working out.  She encouraged me to look in the mirror and praise myself rather than pick myself apart. And with compassion and empathy, she took care of me during a time when I had admittedly lost my way.
